Thoughts on bags and center of rotation

Specificly women's handbags and shopping bags. For carried bags, the center of rotation for soft purse handles and paper shopping bags with the handles (either cord or cardboard) the center of rotation is at the top of the handle, where it is being gripped. For soft shopping bags (T-shirt plastic, as an example) and purses with the heavier handles attached with D-rings or equivalent the center of rotation is where the handle attaches to the bag. But for bags sitting on  a counter or the floor, the proper center of rotation is on the bottom . . .

As easy as it is to change, I still wonder if I would be better off with two copies of the prop with the two different rotation points.

Thoughts?

an easy way to change the hotpoint in DAZ studio is more to the point, I have never found it simple

there was a script that seems to have vanished

in Carrara I am blessed with a simple caps lock for such pivot point adjustments and scream endlessly when forced to use studio for all aspects of animation as it is not that easy for figures props anything.

Having just spent 10 minutes chasing a green dot all over the viewport on a plastic T-shirt bag - I've answered my own question. Two props, labeled as to which end has the rotation point. <sigh>.

One of these days I really need to spend time learning Carrara - it's been sitting on my disk drive since 5.0 . . .blush
