Script to save while render is still running?

I have it so often, that a render crashed or DAZ will shut down even if a render is still running.

Is it possible to create a script that will allow me to save a running render even when he is not done?

It would be cool to have such a tool, because it's annoying to lose a render which has more than 2 days running and have reached 80% or even more.

It isn't possible to save a render in progress, and as far as I know a script could not run during the render to save the image so far. You should be able to stop a render, use File>Save Last render (not the save button on the render wirndow, that will close it) and then resume the render.
