DAZ Smart Content & Content Library not finding its content

Okay, this is wearing VERY thin.

I have been unable to use DAZ in anyway useful the last two days. Every time I load up DAZ, something else is wrong with it. Either Content Library is missing options and files, or Smart Content is missing everything, or Search Function is not there, or Metadata files need to be reimported. I have done this dozens of times. Every time I exit DAZ, it starts all over again.

It requires multiple restarts of my computer to get them to appear as if by magic, then they are gone again the moment I close DAZ, or Save, Save As, or try to Render.

For the techs out there reading this, I am running an i7 5500 2.40Ghz, with 8gb ram. Until 3 days ago, it was working perfectly.

Everything is installed to default locations. I am using PostSQL, I have uninstalled, reinstalled DAZ studio. bug report location I am given by DAZ leads me to a page that says Untrusted Connection, so until DAZ fixes that I won't be bug reporting at an unsecure location.

Frustrated as all hell, please help. I am seeing this happening in forums to other people, though with different things happening to their versions.

No I have not updated to Windows 10, my computer is up to date with Windows 8.1, my graphics drivers are up to date, my computer is backed up regularly, DIM is up to date, DAZ itself is up to date. If you ask is it is up to date, it's up to date. And everything was working fine until as mentioend the three day ago moment.

    Have you tried just waiting a bit? I have the same phenomenon, with a fairly large content library on a HD. I had to move my content from a fast SSD to a larger HD, and since then it sometimes takes between 10-60 seconds for content to show up. Sometimes, the content is there right away, then it's missing again. If a I wait a bit longer, it shows up again.

    Is this happening to you, too? Or is the content a no-show even after waiting for a while?

    The other question is, did you do something special three days ago? For example, the "Windows 10 is waiting" gimmick is constantly running in the background (GWX.exe).

    Thanks for your response. Sadly it's not a matter of waiting. It's literally showing nothing, or freezing completely while trying to find the next thing I click on, if it is visible. If it isn't, well, it's a restart and a hope for the best.

    What security software (AV) are you using and did it update recently?

    Another possible 'sudden' cause...hard drive problems.

    McAfee AV, last update was yesterday, but I have never had any issue with my AV and DAZ.

    Before that, it was 7 days ago, issues started 5 days ago.

    I am having the same issue. The Smart Content is not loading when I click on the Smart Content tab. I was using Windows 8.* and have upgraded to Win10. Going to "Edit >> Preferences" shows that Daz Studio is pointing to the correct directories.

    Any suggestions for resolving issues is appreciated. I do not want to have to uninstall/install to see if that is the remedy to the issue.

    Do you know if you were using PostgreSQL or Valentina as the CMS engine? What, if any, security software are you running?

    The Content Library pane will always show properly installed and mapped content.  If you're missing file in it more than likely you don't have something installed/mapped right and that could cause the Smart Content database to keep corrupting.
