"Download failed" message when trying to install Pro 4.8

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I need help! I spent off and on the last two days in an effort to get 4.8 loaded and failed miserably. I keep getting the message "download failed!". Is there anyone who has the time to help me with this.

    I am using the latest version of DIM. Straight off Daz website. By the way if it helps, I am a retired 20 year computer service tech. The computer is an Aurora r-4 from Alienware.

    At this point, I'd suggest a manual download...you can drop the installer in the DIM's download folder and have it run the install.

    Sometimes for some people the DIM gives major fits when trying to download...it's not many and not often, so you can probably see how hard it is to track down what's behind it.

    mjc1016, It worked. It took awhile for me to find the files for manual install, but it worked. I still dont understand why DIM wouldnt do it. I still need to get the gen3 stuff and then we should be right as rain. Thanks again.
