Quick! I need an optomestrist!

Okay, actually I don't need an optometrist (probably do, but that's another thread!), but I need an optometrist's office and equipment. Do such props exist? I primarily use Poser, by the way.

Yeah. There was one available awhile back. I'll look in my collection. Try a search on Rendo

SAT. My mistake! I'm still looking though. I suspect it's on one of my DVD's.

Daz has a pretty neat Office set up you coud make into a eye doctors office.

and Greenpot has a pretty decent school doctors office you could convert

3DC has a complete doctors office at rendo

All of those are awesome, Ivy. Only this is I have to have the eye exam thingamajig too. It's imperative to the book cover I need to do. Otherwise I'll have to do some manipulation of stock photography.

I'm not sure there is one of those vision test things as a 3D model as it would be kind of a difficult thing to do; especially if you needed to morph it. I searched Turbo Squid though I might not have used the right key word (I tried several) since I couldn't find anything but it would probably have been way over priced anyway. If you could find the exact technical name for the device, you could try a Google search for "technical name here 3D model" and see what comes up because sometimes I find odd freebies and such that way.

I'd say wait for Elowan to check their DVD stash or get ready to use some licensed stock photos. I wish you luck with the book cover and I hope you're able to come up with what you need!

    Sharecg - http://www.sharecg.com/v/40893/Poser/Ophthalmoscope

Not a bad rendition and is Poser-ready

The device used to determine the refractive error is called a 'phoropter'. And I'm still searching. (BTW - I;m a retired eye surgeon so maybe it's up to me to make one. Hmmm). Then we'll need a retinoscope, lensometer, ...

If you look in my thread, http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/162/P165/, you can see some pics of what I need to represent for a kid's book.

If you were willing to pay for a model, I could make these for you. Articulated props are my specialty. Based on the images supplied by AidanaWillowRaven, I could do these inside a week. I have several other commercial projects going, but I can start on these right away. You can see some of my work at my online store. PM me if you are interested.

This looks awesome. I am hoping I am no longer the only person who is willing to pay for these. If there are others, we can all divvy up the initial cost. Anyone want to pitch in on some optometry tools?

Popular request these days lol ...

Here's are a couple of models already made. Have no idea how they might work but for the price hopefully there's support if needed.

No 3D, but it's information. It's another important tool:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocular_tonometry

Specially I hate it, the blue light in your very open eyes, Doctor saying "open more", "don't move"...the thing touch your eyes, arrrggghhh!!!!, I hate it. I hate it.
