Ugh! Trying to create a light emitting torus that is lit on the inside of the loop.

I am very stuck on this one. I am using Daz 4.8 and am attempting to create a light emitting shackle that emits both light outward and inward onto the figure's wrists. I've tried:
1. Positioning point lights around the edges of the shackle, but I could not get an even, uniform light with this approach
2. Using Uberarea light. Unfortunately, surfaces inside of the ring are not illuminated.
Has anyone else had luck achieving this affect? Thank you.

uber Area should work, are you saying it lights the outer faces but not the inner? Is the model in the round, or is it just s single strip of polygons?
...Aaannnd, it's working. While setting up a simple example to show you, I discovered, that yes, objects inside of the ring are illuminated. So the problem must be in the scene I am currently working on.
I am able to make it work in my scene now. There were a couple factors:
1. I didn't have the intensity set high enough to compete with the scenes other lights. I had to turn it up to 30,000 to get the effect I wanted.
2. The color of the uberlight wasn't distinct enough from the other specular highlights on the figure to stand out.
