Well, seems the third G9 base figure after Vicky 9 and Michael 9 is Josie 9 - the "Teen" is missing although she appears to be one. What do you guys think?

Very much in the tradition of all the other Josies. One of the add-on characters is a very nice kid.
Can't say I have much use for any of the clothing that is in the bundle though. Some people might, though.

Looks good. Looks in the same mould as the Josie 7 + 8 characters (so recognisably 'Teen Josie').
She's very Josie. I happen to not really love Josie - I prefer Thorne characters that lean more into the toon-ness of it all - but I'm happy for G9 adaptors that were waiting for a Josie.
Looks like iconic character names might be coming back :) I don't know why that excites me because it really shouldn't matter, but it low-key does.
If shoulders are visible,she's obvously not a teen.
I get that there's a theme, but a lot of the items are a bit much, and that limits their use. Josie's fine, as are Maelwynn and P3Designs first G9 characters.
She reminds me a lot of Ariana Grande :) I love Josie of course

I've always had an issue with characters that have a child's face and adult female breasts. Makes me uneasy. But...a lot of ppl seem to like it. I always thought Thorne characters looked more like children than toons.
YES, Ariana Grande was my first thought when I saw Josie and I love this character and bought her.

Am hoping two elements continue. (1) Josie is in the tradition of the previous generations of Josie, so maybe Aiko, The Girl, Hiro, and The Freak will be in the more stylistic traditions of their originals. (2) The 'buy a bundle, get 3 older bundles' type of sale returned. Fingers crossed that both are signs of good things to come.
Elements of the bundle harken to the 2001 movie with Rachael Leigh Cook and the 1970 Hanna Barbera cartoon. A long time ago in a galaxy far away, I modeled some 60s/70s toon fanart costumes for Genesis 2. Josie and the Pussycats. Space Ghost. Jan and Jace the Wonder Twins. TMNTs. The Jetson's Maid. Elroy. And of course Judy Jetson was the center of attention. Throw in some spacely buildings. Josie and the Pussycats played the gig where Judy Jetson did not get engaged. Party got out of hand when TMNT showed up.
I only have 44 cents left from the Black Friday sales, so updating my Jetsons / Josie and the Pussycats crossover with Genesis 9 figures and better lighting and composition may have to wait.
I noticed, that Josie only has "Sub-Surface Scatter Maps (4096 x 4096)" compared to Vic and Michaels Sub-Surface Scatter Maps (96 x 96 to 8192 x 8192)?
As newbie to the experienced users here is my second question: Is this noticeable?
I don't think she looks like Josie at all, nada, none. Seems like most of ya'll do though. I'm just not seeing it.
Never had much use for teenage figures and/or most toons, but I know that many people love them... but the "3 free Bundles..." option looks to me like there's need for marketing to give more encouragement to jump on the G9 train.
Thinking the same! I was hoping for more detail and realism from the G9 line.
I really loved Thorne characters back in the A3/A4/V4 days but I feel the characters are all starting to look the same since G1. I already have a ton of Thorne characters for previous generations and really don't need another one, especially for G9 which I thought was supposed to be about realism. So I look at today's sale in reverse. I got 3 G8 megabundles for $65 total and got a free G9 bundle and Z G9 poses. I never would have purchased the bundle without the 3 free G8 bundles and I'm glad DAZ is going back to the older sales model. I guess they really have to bribe us to get into G9 lol. As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy that I could get 3 large megabundles for under $22 each and a bonus of a free G9 bundle & pose set.
I'll be sitting here waiting for Darius 9 or Lee 9.

Did they forget the HD?
- There are HD Presets listed in the description but I can't find any with the product.
- Searching for Josie brings 6 dials but no HD dials like with Vicky 9
What happened to the 8k hype train? Josie's textures cap at 4096 by 4096. I suppose the people who whine about 8k textures (as if they cannot possibly resize them) get their character now. But to me it seems silly to hype up how great and awesome Genesis 9 is for realism and with its 3rd release they drop a Thorne character that abandons realism.
Her skin looks extremely course and flat in her close ups. Maybe its the 4k textures, LOL (that's sarcasm, but I want 8k textures). It seems strange to me that a young person would have such rough skin. I got smoother skin than this chick does, and I'm middle aged and crazy!
On the flip side it is good to see Daz heed my advice and bring back the 3 bundle freebies with Josie's big bundle. We already have a comment from one who bought the bundle for the deal, in spite of not wanting the Josie product itself. That's how to entice people to Genesis 9 during a recession and inflationary period.
The 8K textures are an option for PA's not a guarantee that it is going to be in every or even most products. It is determined by the PA if they want to offer them or not. Daz has no say in the matter unless it's a contracted product.

Which product in particular? Josie herself?
