Chest bone twisted after export

Hello!
No matter if I export as collada or fbx (2010 or 2014 Binary), the chest bones for Genesis 2 are always twisted / rotated.
I have checked it both in Blender and in Unity.
I would like to ask if this is a known bug.
Thank you.

How does the figure look in Blender/Unity?
But yes Collada and FBX have some quirks to them. But I don't look at the bones myself just the result on the figure typically.
The figures look alright, but when you animate them, the twisted bones become a problem.
i haven't had problems with the chest bones. the shoulders tend not to bend perfectly so depending on the use it's OK, and other times it's obnoxious and unusable. But I export into Unity all the time and the chest is fine.
@larsmidnatt
Can you tell me which model you are using?
Can any DAZ employee please try it out with Genesis 2 female? I promise the chest bone is twisted after export, and I think it is a bug that needs fixing.
I use G2F, chest bone is not twisted in Unity. I don't have blender on this box.
You'd have to send a bug ticket in if you want Daz to review. They don't watch the forums, its mostly volunteers/ non-daz PAs.
Which version of the software are you using, what export settings? Do you have the most up to date G2F essentials, etc etc.
Can you have a look in Unity by clicking "Import" settings, then "Rig", change to "Humanoid" and click "Configure"?
I do bet that you will see this.
The chest bones are pointing backwards, but they should be pointing forwards.
I am using the latest DAZ version and the free Genesis models that come with them.
I have tried FBX (all versions available) as well as collada.
OK I see that with humaniod too. going to look at my generic rig now.
OK, so it seems the reason I didn't notice is because I didn't have unity transfer the rig into Humanoid. Cause I have only exported animations out of daz to it, and don't wnat Unity to tinker with it. Have no need for retargetting ATM.
I have exported to UE and retargetted there however without serious issues. No time to test UE though.
But I see what you mean now. Sadly FBX exporting is known to be kinda busted. You may find people say "surprised it works at all". And that is the most you may get :(
I have submitted a ticket. Thanks for pointing me at it.
Yes, I know about FBX problems. Somebody should invent a completely new, standardized format.
However, it confuses me that only the chest bones are wrong, so I would tend to think (and hope, because they are so quick at fixing things) that DAZ would jump in and make it so users are not affected.
The Generic rig in Unity cannot be debugged by visualizing the bones, therefore I would simply judge by Blender in which the chest bones also appear pointing backwards while everything else appears fine.
