Dark Skin Merchant Resource Essentials for Genesis 3 Female(s) [commercial]
Presenting...... Dark Skin Merchant Resource Essentials for Genesis 3 Female(s)
This skin is suitably dark with subtle texture details on the hands & feet to allow ease of use when adding your own details, making it more versatile.
The textures throughout are asymmetrical, including the eyes to add that extra level of realism.
All of the textures in this package may be used to create your own sale able add-on content for Genesis 3 Female(s). However, you must alter the maps and make them your own in order for you to resell them. Also included as a convenience, or for those wishing to add a little bit more to their characters, is a simple makeup resource in the .PNG format for you to add eyeliner, eyeshadow, and blusher at your leisure.

Are the eyebrows on a separate layer, or baked in?
In my wishlist.
Any plans on a Genesis 3 south east asian / filipina toned skin? Like the Genesis 2 asian resource but a bit darker
back on topic with this resource - changeing the maps. How far do we have to go?
Can I use this product as is to make a dark-skinned G3F, or do the textures have to be edited first? I'm not interested in creating anything to sell, I just want to render some dark-skinned characters using G3F.
Yeah I don't see why not. Just as long as you don't pass it around to anybody else.
I'm not sure about another Merchant Resource Skin for quite a while. I have alot of architecture projects to get through first. But I'll try pop it onto my to-do list.
I'm really not so sure about the exact percentage you have to change. But you have to at least add makeups, extra blemishes or even change the skin, eyes or makeups colour..... Obvious changes that make it look different from the original.
Baked in. But it's easy to clone them out in PS.
Ok, bought it, and I'm not finding it, although install manager is showing it as installed. I bought the Extreme Closeup: Freckles for Genesis 3 Female(s) and that is easy enough to find.
Ah, am I correct in asuming that I replace the existing textures with these?
Yes. You wont find it in your product Library as it's not something that loads in to be used in DS. It's most likely gone to Library but sat inside a zip file.
Kewl. I just don't want to wait until Monique 7 (or whoever this generation's dark-skinned lady is) to be able to do some of the things I want to do with G3F.
My files were in /General/ForbiddenWhispers/DarkSkinMerchantResourceEssentialsGenesis3Female(s)/ under my Daz Content Library directory. They were the .jpg image files and not in a zip.
And, yes you you just replace the diffuse & bump image files for each skin surface with the ones from here.
I did a quick test render using a base G3F with a bit of Fuselings new FSL Divas morphs dialed in. Swapped the diffuse and bump to these. Set the Spec map to none but left the color at the default (not sure what effect that has) and added the SSS map from this set.

Looks good so far. She just needs more of a glossiness to her skin and she'll look perfect.
I'm pleased you're enjoying the product and cannot wait to see what pretty girls people make with her.
Yup, she looks coo, happy I bought it, not a huge use for it, but I do have an important one; I need some ethinic diversity to make scenes more believable at times. And none caucasian characters are always welcome.:)
Bought it and than'k god, finally a G3 texture without pubic hair.
Great work.
Thank you. I wasn't allowed to show the pubic area on the promos due to DAZ policy. Perhaps I should have mentioned it on the product page instead.....?
Yhe the policy is irritating and makes for the occasional returned product. Really liking the textures though. :)
