Help needed: Replace Obj with FBX trees in Alessandro's Ultimo Paradiso?

Hi all.

 I've been playing around with the Alessandro's excellent Ultimo Paradiso (http://www.daz3d.com/ultimo-paradiso)

However, the trees though realistic and well placed (must have taken him a lot of time!) do not move. I have managed to get a coconut tree model which has baked wind animation.  It works nicely in Daz, so I'm looking at replacing the coconut_plant OBJ that Alessandro's python script populates the island with.

Problem is, I do not know python or the syntax to import an FBX instead of the Obj. I opened the python file for the coconut tree and I believe this variable needs to be replaced: objFileGeom but I don't know what the syntax is for FBX, or indeed, if FBX can be imported this way.

I tried renaming the fbx tree as obj but that didnt work.

Anyone know of a solution? I'd hate to have to plant 60 coconut trees manually when the Python script does an excellent job of even bending the trees randomly!
