Nonconforming Clothing, G2 and V4
I have quite a few dresses that do not conform to poses:
G2: Bunny Dazed, Emotions for Teen Josie, Girls Night Outfit, Diner Waitress for Genesis, Paige Dress.
V4: Urban Shabby Chic, Courageous for V4, Just You V4, Vandra for V4, Wild West for V4, Lirio for V4.
Everything else included with these clothing sets conforms, footwear, blouses, gloves, etc. But not the dresses!
Also, outside of Emotions, these are all ankle-length dresses.
Emotions I can generally morph manually to fit, but others like Wild West get downright ugly. They don't bend at the knee when sitting, for example. Them bones don't bend at the knee!
Other, short dresses conform well.
Why is this happening and what can I do about it? Besides keep my models standing at attention all of the time, that is?

I pulled up Lirio. In Poser I have handles for the skirt, quite a lot of them.
What Chohole said. Either the long dresses have handles you can use, bones or morphs. You might want to look for those. Especially in the V4 days, handles were all the rage.
Thanks, Chohole, but I can't find a combination that works well.
And Wild West is impossible,
It just struck me as strange that even with full-length dresses like Lirio, everything above the waist follows the pose with no input from me, but everything below doesn't. Why is that? I would think that the creators would make everything conform.
I have other long dresses that follow well, albeit with some stretching if I get the feet too far apart, as with a long stride.
Just trying to figure it out, so far these dresses are a real pain.
Poser rigging has a limitation that makes fully rigged skirts impossible - at least as simple conformers: a bone's mesh may connect only to its parent and its children, but in a skirt with the legs rigged the thighs would connect to each other (as would the shins in a long skirt). Weight-mapped figures are more flexible, but getting results that move like a skirt is still very hard with full conforming.
What I have been advising people to do is to transfer the rigging from the MFD to thier dresses. Will give you 4 bones below the waist that are not linked to the legs. Control as you like.
