Render out objects without losing its lighting

Hey, i really REALLY want to be able to slect an object, like a hand, or multiple like and entire arm, and render that with the exact lighting as if if was the entire scene. same thing for shadows, if a person sits on a table, and i select only the table to render, that the shadow of the person will remain on the table.

My confussion is that the tech allready excists, as you can see in the video, but only as a plane to cut throug everything.

My idea is that i like to be able to render bodyparts with its current lighting for 2D animation.

What do you guys think?

You could potentially hack canvas rendering to do what you're after. Create a beauty canvas with only the nodes you want to render, then hide whatever polygons you don't want rendered.
