Transfer Genesis 2 Female Figure Morphs to Genesis 2 Male Clothing

Is there a way in Daz Studio to transfer Genesis 2 Female morphs to Genesis 2 Male clothing?  For example, when I add a Genesis 2 Male shirt to my character (Genesis 2 Female), certain morphs, like the nipple morphs, are not reflected in the Genesis 2 Male clothing.  Is there a way to transfer those morphs and rigging?

  • If the figure is fitted the morphs will transfer if a) they don't already exist in the clothing and b) the morph is set to AutoFollow. If that isn't happening it may be that the clothing already has a do-nothing property with the same name as the morph, or that it lacks the needed resolution to show an effect.

The clothing is fitted but the morphs didn't transfer.  I have the clothing set to autofollow, but still it doesn't reflect the nipple morphs.  Not sure how to check the do-nothing property.  The resolution is set to "High Resolution".  How do I get it to do what I am wanting?

  • The AutoFollow setting is in the morph on the base figure - the main G2F Nipples morph iss et to AutoFollow.

As for resolution, that's not a setting it's the basic model - if you view the clothing in wireframe mode (using the sphere icon at top-right of the viewport, next to the camera/view picker button, and seelcting hidden line) are there enough polygons over the nipple area for the shape to transfer? If it's just a single polygon there then there's nothing to work with.

The settings (auto-follow) appear to already be correct.  Yet, it doesn't conform to the nipple morphs.  The nipples just poke through.  If the polygon count is the issue, is there any way to increase it?

Surely I am not the only person who has encountered this problem :-)

  • The only way to fix it would be to rework the mesh in a modeller, I'm afraid. I suppose you could set a moderate level of SubD on the converetd but unfitted clothing, in the zero pose, and export as OBJ, then load that and use the Transfer utility with the converted item as the source and the new OBJ as the target - you could get the transfer Utility to transfer any morphs too.
