windows 10

Hi all,

I recently converted to windows 10.  I have tried for hours now to get the free 4.8 version of DAZ3d to no avail.  The install manager wont download, there`s no way for me to manually download DAZ3d 4.8 (it comes in a bundle but the main software had no manual download link)

I did eventually download an older version 4.x that does open up, but keeps asking for a serial number (which it says is free if I open an account, which I did) but still I can't get a serial number for that either.  When I open it without a serial, there are no files to play with.  I manually downloaded various templates and other content, but they are not showing.  I wonder if it is to do with the fact that I'm using it without a serial number, or if I have installed them wrongly, or if it is just that none of this works with windows 10 yet.

I would really appreciate any advise that you can give me as I am REALLY frustrated now LOL

Thanks to all in advance for any assistance

Mark

I'm not sure if you noticed the large red banner at the top of the page. The servers are going through a data migration and downloads, among other things, are affected.Once that is done, I sugest you give the install manager another try.

  • lol, no I didn't notice a banner, I do tend to ignore everything except the bit I want, my bad.  Thanks icecrmn, I will try again later.

Well, somehow the "Download and Install" button is no longer functional in Windows 10.  Nothing happens, when I click on it.  I tried in Microsoft Edge (the successor to Internet Explorer) as well as Google Chrome.  Fine, there is a work-around: start the Install Manager, look for the latest product, install those ... but for older orders, that's not what you'd want to do.  Am I the only one with that problem?  What is the fix?  Will this be fixed?  For starters, if Install Manager offered the option of sorting by order number, that would already help a lot.

  • DIM does have a sort by order date option.

Well, whatever you are having trouble with is not Windows 10. I have been running Windows 10 and used the install manager (dim) to load all of my purchased items as far back as when I first purchased content. I do not know what you mean by running edge or chrome. I just run the dim program and everything works just fine.heart
