How do you create a blurred motion rendering?

And here's a faster rotation to simulate a slower camera shutter speed. I think that's the only way to vary the "length" of the blur. Which is why I tend to look elsewhere for blur effects.

Could the blending slider be used for that as well?

    Anybody:

By the way, my intent was to portray the rotation of those two atoms with the others not moving. That is actually how microwaves heat things (in case you wondered). Do you think what I got shows that, or would you have done it differently?

My stubborness with using 3D instead of 2D is that I use Carrara for making spining molecules in animations. This time I had to make just a JPEG image.

    Summary:

    - A positive spin rate gives the same direction as in the Sequencer; negative goes the other way.

    - Use of more extra frames smooths the blur.

    - The frame rate must match in the Sequencer and Render rooms.
