Asset with moving parts (Doors). Wrapping my head on how to do this

I have an asset that has a door (one asset and not 2 seperate assets). I want to move that door like it has been done in many DAZ assets.
How do I make that it can move? In DAZ there is a figure editor, but it is not working as vertex group import is broken. In Blender there are Drivers and Controllers. How can they work in DAZ?
I have no idea how to make any moving parts for DAZ. There are 0 usefull tutorials out there. :(
So how are you doing this?

There's no way daz studio can import a rigged model. You have to rig it in daz studio.
I have referred to this discussion more than once. It is a little long in the tooth, but I believe all the tools still work the same way.
