Genesis 9 nipples?

nabob21nabob21 Posts: 1,002

I am just now starting to look at the new Genesis 9 character and I have noticed that unlike the Genesis 8 characters they do not have nipples. Is this because these morphs are now in a morph add-on pack? Or are these morphs expected to be provided in the new characters that PAs are creating? And if so, how does this work for mixing characters to create unique ones?

I have tried to search the forums for answers to these questions but I have had no luck, but that may be due to the fact that my search skills are not that strong. So any help answering these questions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Renderotica has realistic add-on nipples for G3 and G8. I haven't checked, but if they
don't have them for G9 yet, they probably will soon. They also have better genitals.
    Search for "headlights".

The G9 does have nipples, only they are HD morphs which don't show in preview if ones SubD for preview is set too low

I'm not sure what you mean PerttiA. I havce set the figure resolution to SubD 3 for View and Render in the Parameters Tab under Mesh Resolution, but still there are no nipples.

G9 is entirely HD based because of the lack of proper topology, this is a design flaw, meaning you always have to use HD even for the basic features. It is not just nipples and navel but the whole anatomy features. This is why G9 is more demanding as for resources and requires a more powerful hardware. G3-G8 is defined with topology for the basic features, meaning you can choose to use HD or not, since HD is mostly required only for enhanced details that you may not need unless for extreme closeups.

Thus G9 is resource stressing compared to G3-G8.

Not in my experience working with G9. I don't find it any more demanding that G8, even less at times. I can barely render a G8 at subD level 3 or more depending on the textures and the HD morphs G9 renders much easier for me at sublevel 3 and that is much more detailed than G8 at the same level because of the denser mesh. As for the nipples, there are several addons that create new nipples at the 3rd party stores that do a fantastic job, even better than default which is usually the case.

Excuse me. I told him that. Please do not misattribute me.

(Honestly, I've heard the same arguments about "G9 only works with HD" and subjective points about "improper topology" over and over, and I'm not sure anything short of Zeus himself coming down and declaring it to be false would suffice for some people. I recently had to do some morphing on G8 where the "proper" topology made it an absolute flipping nightmare).

The original question has been answered, we do not need yet another rehash of the same arguments.
