Adding Subsurface Scattering to David 5 in Daz Studio 4.8

Has anyone had any luck doing this? I've been trying, but have so far been unsuccessful. I applied both the HumanSurface Base and the Subsurface Base Shader, and then followed a couple of tutorials, but it's not working. If it helps, I'm working with the David 5 Sean character.

I appreciate any help.
