Daz Studio appends object name to surface on export.

Whenever I export something to a .obj file (to edit it in Blender) Daz Studio adds the object name to the surface names. Is there any way to avoid this? I've tried every export option concerning groups/surfaces but it always does the same thing. See added image.

Since the materials here aren't Iray Uber shaders they require a material preset to quickly re-apply to the imported .obj file, but this relies on surface names and therefor doesn't work if Daz changes the surface names.

  • What are your settings? The Daz Studio preset didn't do that for me, with the object filtering set to include only selected roots (figures) and one item selected (it did replace spaces in the surface names with underscores, but that was expected and down to a bad choice for test subject since spaces are not valid in OBJ group names).
