Parenting G9 hair to G8

Is it possible to parent a G9 hair model to G8? I know I've parented other hair models from other figures to G8 so I image it could work in this case.

Of course, any independent node (not a bone or other node tied to a hierarchy) can be parented to any other.

If I can show a little example of inter-generational parenting of hair, here is an example of Generation 8 hair being parented to Victoria 3 characters:

In this I parented the G8 hair to the V3 head and positioned it to go on the head. Further steps, not yet done, will include matching the G8 hair's neck twist to match V3's, and putting an equal and opposite twist at the hair root node, and do the same for all applicable nodes down to the hip to match the poses. One day I'll write a script to do this, but I've not done it often enough to be worth it so far.

    Regards,

    Richard

Yes, entirely possible to do. Sometimes tough to get a perfect fit. I use mesh grabber to tweak the hairline a bit.

If you don't want to invest in Mesh Grabber (still in my wishlist lol) you can use the dform tool or push tool, which come with the program.
