Did I Miss Something?

Please help my sanity. I thought I saw a product to convert female poses for use with male figures. Was this a mirage or a figment of my overworked imagination?

    In general, if the male and female belong to same generation of figures, the poses can be used on both. Some minor adjustments may be needed but that's all.

    There are several products that can do that in various ways, including several freebies, but you may be thinking of Riversoft's Bone Minion products, which, with the right modules purchased, can convert poses for v4/m4 and any Genesis series to any of the others, including gender reversals.  As noted above, you CAN apply same generation opposite gender poses to a figure, but some adjustment will usually be necessary due to slightly different lengths between joints.  Of course, that's usually true of ANY pose application unless you're working with the raw base figures.

    does bone mion work in reverse too? P4 to G8, etc ... it only says g8 to earlier in the description

    That's a different minion. There is one to use each generation's poses on the other generations. So, for MilGen4, Genesis, G2, G3, G8/8.1, that's 20 minions total if you want maximum interoperability. I haven't got the G9 Bone minion, but they appear to be only to use the other generations' poses on G9, so, another 5.
