Genesis 9 skin optimized for freckles?

I struggle to get on board with Genesis 9. I bought the pre-release of Victoria 9 and it is downhill from there. Apart from the odd unisex figure, none of the Genesis 9 skins that came after Victoria 9 convinces me.

Yesterday I bought MSO Dola because of the 8k PBR textures. Even tried adjusting translucency and so on. Still a doughy skin.

With Victoria 9 being delivered with freckles and vitiligo skin, I wonder whether G9 skin is optimized for freckles, blemishes and so on, but less useful for "normal" skin?
