stopping Content Manager in windows 10

I'm trying to stop the CM so i can update the database on a new PC but i can't find the option in my all apps list.  Does it still work if i stop it from within DAZ?

A better method is to Export User Data.  That creates a file(s) named user_1.dsx in the Runtime/Support folder of your first DAZ Studio format content folder.  Then Re-import Metadata on the new PC.

  • so backing up the database isn't as important as it used to be?  I did do the import of the userdata, but wasn't sure about puttign the database back.

Export/Import is more reliable, and it also allows you to use a different path to your content folder.
