Genesis 9 UV to Genesis 8(.1) or 3 possible?

Legacy UVs for Genesis 9: Genesis 3, 8, and 8.1 Male allows older skins to be applied to G9, this made me wonder. Is there a way to apply G9 skins to G 8(.1) or even G3? I would think the process could be made work both ways right?

And if there is, what woulfd be the process for this, is there some info about this anywhere?

    I'm just putting the finishing touches to my V4 UVs for Genesis 9 product.  Then I'll look at G9 UVs to G8, and see what needs to be done.  There will be half as many UV vertices to move around, which will be a relief!

    that would be cool to be an add on to the core package. OR , both directions in one package.
