I can't remember where I saw this, but ... {Ya'll found it, THANKS :)}

Maybe my memory has been corrupted, but wasn't there a script or plugin that allowed us to mix poses between not just humanoid figures from different generations but also between animal figures, at least to a degree?

Update:

Ya'll found it, THANKS :)    Now I gotta see if it will do what I hope it will since I bought it ages ago and forgot to ever use it, lol.

This doesn't mix between humanoid and animals, and I can't tell if it grabs from other generations but it is useable on all generations before G9.

Could that be what you remember?

Maybe ... but I wanna say there was a tiger in the promos, and it showed another figure beside it displaying the transitioned version ... it wasn't a perfect transition, but enough to get the gist and tweak from there. Maybe I just dreamed it, lol.

I think it would be cool, though, to be able to mimic a horse pose on a cat or dragon. Or make a cat try to stand like a person or a person like a chicken, or whatever, lol.

I think I can remember something like that, but I also can't find it in my downloaded pose products script/utilities. Hopefully someone else will pop in and know exactly what it is.

You may want to check out RiverSoft Art's store,

That looks like the right promo. However, while you can use it to apply poses for a specific animal I don't  see where you can use it to apply poses for a human (or other animal) to that animal

That's it ... and I already own it, lol. I'll have to reinstall it and make a note to like ... you know ... use it, lol.

Is it me, or is this promo hinting that pose 'associations' can be made from human to animal? https://gcdn.daz3d.com/p/53343/i/09-ultimate-pose-mixer-daz3d.jpg

So .... in the product description ...

Ultimate Pose Mixer is compatible with any figure, of any generation, even with any other rigged creatures such as animals, dragons, robots.

    Maybe?

That promo is simply stating that the script can be used on any figure with bones, ie humans/animals/robots etc, it does not say you can mix them up.

Basically the script locks requested bones and/or bone heirarchies so that you can apply a pose to it and it will only act on the unlocked parts. You can already achieve a lot of that for free in Daz Studio by selecting the bone whose heirarchy you want to change, and then cntrl-click the pose, and make it apply only to the requested bone and its children. This script is a bit more flexible than that, but not much more.

I wonder how this compares or differs from https://www.daz3d.com/ultimate-pose-converter-bundle-for-genesis-9 as far as ease or versatility, beyond the fact that the latter includes Genesis 9. Does anyone know?

Completely different products. The converter bundle is for converting poses from older Genesis figures to Genesis 9. The script mentioned above is used for applying just part of a pose designed for that figure. It can not use poses designed for other figures (except to convert a G3 pose to a G8 pose, but that is a secondary function).

Oh.... so having both is good since I also want to utilize older pose sets on newer figures. Thanks :)

Not what I was hoping it was, but still helpful. And I bought it years ago, so should make use of it, lol.
