I've never tried to load either version of  Stonemason's Contemplation Pool. But I don't get an error message or anything, either. I hope someone with it can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Other things load fine.

I have that product and was just able to add both of the environment items without any issues or errors. What happens when you try and load them? How did you install the product? Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing?

I knew once I posted, the dang thing would load, lol. At least, the first iray .duf just loaded as your reply came in. Gonna check the 3DL version now. What's the purpose of the render presets files?

Ahh, well it's good that it worked in the end. Although it's a bit odd if it took a long time as mine loaded pretty quick - even pulling the files from network storage.

Note sure on everything it does but it does set the Environment mode to Sun/Sky and sets a few values - presumably to add some lighting values that work well with the scene/camera-presets.

So you tend to load the secondary version for the iray pool? Does that mean I can delete the first one? Or is the second reliant on the first?

    Oh, no, don't delete anything!

You have "Contemplation Pool 3Delight.duf" & "Contemplation Pool Iray.duf" which actually add te environment objects for the pool. Obviously you pick the one that corresponds to the mode you will be rendering in. "Contemplation Cameras.duf" adds 6 cameras for some default views into the pool. Then the "Iray Contemplation Render 01.duf" is JUST render settings for iray and so it will just set some lighting values if you don't want to light the scene yourself. So all the files are important and do different things.
