I'm asking, again, if there is a plugin or script or even a good (meaning easy to follow) tutorial, just in case some Heaven-sent personal has answered my blood-sacrificing plees, if there is a poser-to-daz converter tool?

Why do you need a tool? most poser items work in DS. I was a poser user long before I used DS and still have a large collection of poser items I use in DS. The only issues I ever see are having to adjust materials (too shiny) and the occasional rigging issue

I know they work, but I hate dealing with very different content libraries. I have customized my Daz content directory in a way that works best for my needs, but so much of my older stuff only has a poser format, which means I have to remember to go there to find something bought back in DS3 days. I want to be able to track down what I want, then convert it and re-save it in my Daz directory so I can find it again next time. I tend to forget I have it if I don't see it. Or maybe there is a manual way to do this and still retain morphs and original properties that no one has told me about?

  • There is Code 66s script https://www.daz3d.com/legacy-set-converter and his https://www.daz3d.com/advanced-material-converter to convert the materials once in duf format.

This script https://www.daz3d.com/legacy-set-converter works pretty well for converting poser prop sets to DS format (ie duf and dsf). It will work for ordinary props and figures with bones, but will not convert clothing to the newer figures, nor will it convert pz2 material files to duf.

Best thing is it has a batch mode, so you can load up loads of props, and then it converts them all at the click of a button. You will still need to tweak the materials afterwards to get them to look good in iray.

Fixed. I'm not sure why links sometimes get a non-breaking space at the end.
