I mean with characters like Wonder Woman/Supergirl/Power Girl what are their boots and belts typically made from and what Iray shaders would best work for them do you think?

Most of them are not madwe of anything, they are ilustrations, and those which are solid items will use whatever the costume team think looks good on set.

I would think the artist envisioned using leather in the 1970s and 1980s,   but probably Kevlar  or reinforced composite in the 2010s and 2020s
