Interested in animation

As the selection of readymade (dance) animations for G8 is pretty slim, does anyone have pointers to free BVH and/or MMD animations that could be used in getting ones feet wet?

Heve tried looking in DA, but it takes such a long time to find anything there and trying to find downloadable ones is even more frustrating.

    maybe if one has Motionbuilder,

no easy way otherwise are ways but all a lot of work, I believe Blender Rokoko plugin and Diffomorphic works

Thanks Wendy, had a look at them but the prices were quite high and I would like to try importing formats that have a larger selection.

Some 6 months ago, I found some BVH files but can't remember anymore, where I found them.
Managed to get a couple of them loaded on G8 after a while, but yesterday I stumbled on a thread here where someone brought MMD into DS and G8 and I would like to try it, but missing motion files.

Carnegie Mellon University offers a huge selection of motion capture data, but it's probably even less friendly to DS and Genesis figures than Mixamo, though I just learned that someone released a Daz-friendly version back in 2010. Houdini can do rig matching to non-Daz figures, and I've been planning to make some tutorials about using Daz content in Houdini, but it's definitely not a one-click solution.

I haven't tested it yet to see if it still works, but wolf359 shared this method of moving Mixamo into DAZ a few years ago:

Scroll through the posts there for other tips and tricks.

    Thanks again, wolf359!
