Go into render settings .. and Optimization .. and change the "Instancing Optimization" setting to either Speed or Memory ..

@Rauko001 I still remember that I was watching your video the first time I encountered this problem nearly 2 years ago. blush

I don't actually remember the last time I had this happen so I don't even know if the solution still works .. laugh .. but if it does .. yeah, there's a video for it!!

  • Worked like a charm! thanks for taking out the time to respond to me. I have been watching a couple of your tutorials as well.

Also, since you are here. How would you recommend I get a night scene in Daz studio using Iray?

    THANK YOU.

Couple of methods I've used in the past .. can be as simple as just dropping a blue tinted Point light into the scene and playing around with the brightness  ..also I've actually used a sunny environment HDRI and dropped the Environment Intensity so that the sunlight becomes highlights from the moon. You might still have to drop a blue-tinted point light somewhere to give it more of a nighttime feel .. but just play around with things like that .. It won't work with every HDRI but try a few different ones and you might get lucky!
