heres a question is there any way to restore a saved scene.

I ask because I did a scene rendered the first part of it and then when I went back later all the animation was gone, the models the camera's the lights and even the putteer was still there but the time line was blank and the real kicker was I was looking at it hours before hand and it was still there and I saved before the rendering

any help on this matter would be welcomed

If you look in the scene folder it should be there if that is where you saved it. Also, if go to file in upper most left and in the drop down in shows "open recent" which should show the saved scene or open above it and it will go to the scene folder and if saved there you can load it. Hope this helps.

Do you get any errro messages? Try loading the scene, then immediately go to Help>Troubleshooting>View Logfile, scroll to the very end and see what the last few lines say. Is the scene something you are willing to upload for others to look at?
