Black Boxes
After corrupting my database several times, I finally followed instructions and keep all non-Daz content in different folders, on a different drive.
While this works just fine with Poser-type items, 80% of Daz-specific content doesn't work.
All I get are black boxes, and a message about missing DSF files, even though they are there.
Particularly free stuff. I have bought Daz-specific items from some of the big sites, including Daz vendors, and they just don't work.
I have tried everything I can think of including taking the risk of putting them in the native Daz folder, but no luck.
Am I the only one with Daz that doesn't work with Daz files?
Ghastly is a good example of this. When they work, that means the database is about to crash.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you sure you habe mapped all the directories with Data folders as DS content?

Yeah, did all that-it's funny, because some artists stuff works, no problem, but I get an 70-80% failure rate.
I almost don't but Genesis/Daz file stuff anymore, only Poser, because Daz doesn't work with Daz content!
LOL!
That usually only happens when DS cannot find the 'data' folder. Also, DIM, by default, installs to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library You have to make sure that is listed as a path, DS doesn't do it for you. Also, the 'data' folder must be directly under the folder you are using as a library folder, My DAZ 3D Library, My Library or whatever you call it.

You're either not mapping the content correctly or not unzipping the files to the folders that are mapped. You also need to map you Daz Studio content under Poser mapping. Your mapping shoould look something like the attached.
