The maps wouldn't provide you with HD as that is a morph, but normal maps can add more detail.

Just check the contents of the merchant resource packs.  Morris' latest pack does not have them, but many people prefer to make their own normals and bump maps.

I don't own it, so I can't attest to it. It's based around the base male uv. One of the promos shows normal maps included, but the actual what's included/features doesn't list them.
