What western fantasy medieval armor is similar to this?

I am trying to build something simiar to this, and need to find armor for it.

I suspect I might need to mix several pieces and use custom textures to make them match.

The orignal is a 3d print model (hence the base it stands on), which I can buy to get the mesh, but it would be hard to texture and rig.

For some reason I can't upload the image, here's the link: https://imgur.com/Rmk3AhM

I had the Dark Hunter armour and loaded it up on a G8F. First, the chainmail is laying directly on her skin, except where it overlaps on her pants, which are low hip-huggers. But chainmail on naked breasts? Ouch. Why can't the ladies have a decent set that matches a man's? (Yeah, I know dForce messes up with layers, but, a set where you can take off the layers for different stages of dress/or undress for a warrior?)

I know it won't give you the layer, but you could add a push modifier to push it further from her body to either give room for an inner layer or the illusion.

  • You could also add a second-skin style clothing texture to the base figure, though those do tend to run more to skimpwear than practical coverage.

Yes, both of those options are valid.

And the image the OP is trying to replicate has no bearing in reality anyways. It is not like the cartoon is trying to look like real plate armor which is in Knight Champion for M4.

I don't consider that one particular credible either. Even the untrained eye will notice the poor fit. Imagine making a model of a military tank vehicle and there are holes all over it where the panels meet. We would probably not consider this a "good" tank model.

They were far better than that back in ye olde days, https://imgur.com/WsXmZF4

(This is a royality free image from a musuem. it is NOT nsfw but i think imgur's AI might detect it as such because it holding its weapon pointing upwards)

To me, Knight Series 01 for Genesis 8  looks more credible at first glance. https://www.daz3d.com/the-knight-series-01-for-genesis-8-males

I suppose we can say the M4 armor is an old model from a less advanced version of the Daz software, and these are technical limits of the age. We could also say that the original image is a render of a 3d print for tabletop gaming, and there is a limit to how much detail you can get at that scale in a physical object. https://i.redd.it/avoamhyce0wz.jpg

Not my photo, it's a random google image search. I don't know who owns it.

actually it reminds me of bits of Luthbel's older outfits for M3 and D3

    https://www.daz3d.com/dark-elves-collection-for-david

    https://www.daz3d.com/high-elves-warriors-of-the-forest-for-m3

since some of it should be rigid one could parent those bits from older sets to the waist and dforce the cloth bits
