Is the mirror in Pink Oak Room a refective mirror?  If yes how do you get it to work?

Which render engine are you using?

for iray, apply this shader to the "mirror" surface

    http://www.sharecg.com/v/81125/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/Iray-Mirror-Shader

    for 3Delight

change these settings on the "mirror" surface

    1. Diffuse Color = Black
    2. Reflection Strength = 100%

    Using 3Delight

tried 1 and 2 above, got only a black on mirror.

Do you have anything positioned in your scene where it would be reflected in the mirror? If so, is that thing lit up so it is visible? Do you have your ray trace number set to at least 2?

In the screen shots for the room they actually have 2 of the room props loaded so there is a complete enclosed room. This way, there is something for the mirror to reflect.I used the mirror shader from Decan's PaintShop

    ( found here http://decanandersen.deviantart.com/art/Free-DAZ-Shaders-Decan-s-Paint-Shop-397847722 )

    And it came out ok.

I turned the opacity of the floor on the second room prop to 0 so there wouldn't be overlaping floors.

Mirrors in 3Delight can be a pain at times.

and just as barbult said,,in the render settings under Sampling, the raytrace needs to be at least 2

Shader Presets > IRAY > DAZ Uber > any of the glossy light coloured metals make great mirrors. Metal 'X' Polished.

Plus the different colours can add interesting effects.
