Is there a way to use G9M hair on G8M?

Specifically, I purchased "Qinfen Hair for Genesis 9" [ https://www.daz3d.com/qinfen-hair-for-genesis-9 ] but I can't seem to get it to properly parent to the skull of a G8M.

Best suggestion I can come up with is scene identification, it's mentioned how to do it and other suggestions on this thread.

I would suggest to just scale and place the hair and then parent to the head, i.e. no fitting.
