I don't know why I bother, I've never done anything like this and I can't see myself being any good at it anyway.

    Hmm, I suggest trying to explain more. With what: About what? Done what?

    I can guess, but then that opens up the possibility of starting out explaining something about something you didn't mean, and it gets further away from what you meant as the posts continue.

    What's the point?

    I'll take a stab at: to have fun.

    If it's not then don't do it.

    Not sure what this is about (nor even if it is serious); but one of the appeals of rendering as a hobby is that people who have never done anything like this (and cannot draw a picture of a convincing inkblot) find themselves able to create interesting and appealing images.

    At least, that's why _I_ bother...
