I am sure there will be lots of great renders with the theme being cats!!

  • I am so happy to be back rendering again, I was so lost without my Daz to keep my mind from going crazy!!

You say “crazy” like it’s a bad thing. ????

No I didn't mean it was a bad thing it is just that I have so many ideas now that I can't render them all fast enough and it is causing me to go a bit CRAZY!

Here is a couple of renders of the same thing but a bit different

Done in IRay to test it out on my new lappy. I started off small to see how my lappy could handle it. No postwork.

Plz give me some feedback on these to help me improve my rendering.

LOL! Yeah, I'm getting a certain "Raelynn" vibe from her.

This is pretty good still-life! There are ways to get rid of stubborn fireflies in the settings. Usually the firefly filter (found under "render settings - filtering") is already set to "on," but check just to be sure. You can also switch the Post Denoiser on, to further reduce grain. The start iteration is set to 8 as a default, but you can experiment with that. Sometimes higher is a bit better. If you set the filter to Mitchell instead of Gaussian it will render a bit sharper, but that's an aesthetic choice. Also with Iray, there are certain settings that can be changed while the render is in progress. You need to find the tiny grey box on the left side of the render canvas screen and click it, and a secret(!) panel will open. The most important thing is to not be afraid to play around!

Thank you so much for the advice on the Iray settings! The next time I render in Iray (Which will be soon) I will refer back here to set it up.

The inspiration for this render is something my mother used to say when she argued with my father " I think that with every argument we have in life the rain falls like the skies are crying for us!"

Great images, I just got caught up on them.  If I may ask, in the "argument" one, how did you get the windows to show the rain like that?  It looks amazing!

It was a rainy day photo stock picture that I put in behind the window in PSP 2020 program.
