I suspect the answer is "no", but is there a way to easily add some colored trim to garments within DAZ?

Actually, it depends on the garment.
If there is a nice row of polygons/clean edge loop, you can use the Geometry editing tool to create a new material.
Or if there is a set of texture templates for it, you can use an image editor to create an overlay for an existing texture.
Ok, I see how I could use the LIE to do it - haven't really messed with LIE much.
I have no clue on messing with the Geometry.
BTW, I'm using the Shieldmaiden Tunic for this, though learning it for other things is useful too.
