Is There a Problem with my Inbox?

I received a message from a vendor, a response to a PM I send him. The message came to my email address, not as a PM, which is fine. At the end of the message was a link, including the message number. When I click on the link, I just go to my inbox, but there is no recieved message. What happens if I wish to reply to this particular message? Can someone check my inbox and see if there's a problem. I'm on a Macintosh, by the way.

    The email that you received is just to inform you that you have a PM. It is just an auto-generated Ebot so sent by Daz, not the person you were contacting.   If you check your in box you should find your conversations. Private messages are just that, so it is difficult for anyone to check your PM inbox for you.

    Is this the inbox you are looking at http://www.daz3d.com/forums/messages/all ? It's not the same as the in-store messages in the accounmt menu, you get to the PM inbox via the gear button at top-right of this page.

    Oh, I see, there are two different inboxes, then. And is there no "sent messages" box? Is everything in the inbox accessed via the gear button?

    No, there is no sent list - essentially each PM exchange is a private forum thread, visible only to the participants. So you see both your posts and others' in the same view (and a thread can have more than two particiapnts, extras are added via the gear menu once you have a conversation open).
