Some background.  This did open and load in a previous install on Daz3d, on a Win8.1 gaming laptop.  Some assets, though, when I did a fresh install on a Win10 gaming laptop, no longer load.  I've uninstalled and done a clean reinstall of Daz and DIM, and they still throw up these syntax errors.

    Weird... what's the locale do you use on new Win10? OneDrive issue... ? Anyway...

    - Download a Notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/)

    - File Browser to - : C:/Users/chris/OneDrive/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library/data/cloud/1_53167/vehicles/mely3d/military truck/truck/, open 'mt truck 1050 base.duf' with Notepad++. Check the 1st line, see if the first character is:  {

    - If not, change it to:  {

    - Save and retry...

  • That is a Connect (through Daz Studio) install that has not properly decrypted. Are you in fact isntalling through Daz Studio, or are you intending to use Install Manager or Daz Central? If you are trying to install through DS try uninstalling and reinstalling (right-click on the product container) and if that doesn't fix the issue please report it via a ticket - in the meantime you could download the zip and copy the folders from the /Content/ folder inside the zip to the C:/Users/chris/OneDrive/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library/data/cloud/1_53167/ folder, which should replace the bad files with good.

    I coped the files from the working install and that fixed it, both through the smart content library and dragging and dropping.  Thanks.
