I've purchased the lion model by Alessandro AM and am curious about some texture maps. What does the A in Lion-Body-A stand for? What does the R in Lion-Body-R stand for? What does W in the Lion-Parts-W stand for?

Moved to Techncial help as it is not strictly a Daz Studio application question.
They probably match up to different colour properties - select the lion, open the Surfaces pane, and in the editor tab select the body surface - look at the maps applied to different properties and you will probably find that the letters bear a realtion to the property name.
As per the channels where the maps are assigned, seemingly: (A) for alpha - a B/W map; (R) - a Roughness map, (W) for a specific Glossy Layered Weight channel.
