How can I ungroup all different parts of my model?

Hello there, this time I would like to ask you about imported files from other programs...

How can I ungroup different components from OBJ file? I would like to ad some new models for the kitchen (from Carrara content browser). I mean how can I make new guops of objects (to make some independet modifications for every single part of the scene) from one OBJ file? I add some shaders for kichen (wood) but it looks awfull...

those carrara content browser files are very old some from Ray Dream I believe often not UV mapped mosty made of primitives and spline objects

I would export it as an obj and reimport it with the options to split by material if you really wanted to use it

but quite frankly there are nicer cheap kitchens in the DAZ store IMO

I fiddled a lot with those browser objects and still do sometimes but they need a lot of reworking, at least I learn stuff doing so cheeky

when you import an OBJ select 'Create one object per Group' on the import screen... if that's what you mean..
