About the Promo Image for the Union Suit Outfit

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-union-suit-outfit-for-genesis-9-and-genesis-8-81-male

A "worm" is a little lifeform that birds and fish eat ... "worn" is not a lifeform.

"Duty" ... is not how the word "dirty" is spelt.

They don't check the descriptions either. I've seen typos, missing words, wrong homophones/homonyms.

But copy editing is not easy, especially if it's your own work, and I suspect that is what most PAs and promo artists do. Your brain will read it the way you intended, regardless of how many misspelled words or other errors crop up. There are tricks you can use, but they don't work well on very short pieces, IMO.

  • They actually do check spelling on promos, I myself have a learning difficulty that makes spelling particularly difficult for me, and they have managed to pick upmost of my spelling errors. Though on occasion one gets through, but they are usually very on it with spelling. I'm not sure how these got through, but the daz team are likely very busy atm. And unfortunately PAs are required to write in English despite the fact that this may not and in a lot of cases, is not their primary language. I understand seeing spelling issues can be frustrating, but I hope the products can speak for themselves despite these.
  • I suspect it's a missing s in dusty rather than a misspelling of dirty. I will point these out, thank you.

     That's quite possible too.

  • Hope they kept those PSD's

Or perhaps it's meant to be worms and doody, which were both common hygenine problems back in the day. indecisiondevil

Out of curiousity, has anyone tried to drop the fanny flap on this yet for the classic "runnin' from the bear with the back half buttoned" look?

That's like the spellchucker here in the forum. If you activate it, it locks up and you have to close the whole browser, thereby chucking everything you wrote.

If you switch the mode to Source (top-right of the buttons above the entry panel) then the browser spellchecker should work - though of course it will object to HTML tags, especailly if there are accented characters in the middle of words.

My experience is that many of the forum functions behave differently from browser to browser, and if you use Firefox, it can change from release update to release update. The current quirks I have is that the spielclacker will show a red underline under a word (which isn't always incorrect) but then won't remove the line even when you correct it unless you change the length of the space between the revised word and the one that immediately follows.  Oh, and the same bug everyone seems to be getting about attaching photos no longer working... which, come to think of it, is a pretty good indicator of just how low on the priorities list these forums are on DAZ's agenda given that that issue has been going on for ages now.

  • Source enables the browser's built-in spellchecker to work - in Firefox you have to have added a dictionary, I am not sure what the other browsers may do or require.

I'm using Firefox. A Google search told me how to add a dictionary, so I did that. Now I can see the Firefox spell checker work in forum Source mode. But what a kludge! I think Enable SCAYT is a more straightforward way to get spell checking in the Daz forum. The thing that really irks me, though, is that Daz leaves a Check Spelling option enabled, and it does nothing but cause a person to lose everything they've typed. It used to work. It is just one more of those things that has broken and not received attention.

The suit is one piece, flap does not open nor can it be morphed to open.

    {one could hide the tail if one needed a very large gap; for eg perhaps for the shark's tail}

Yes. I'm thinking that for one's own self use possibly a 2nd suit could be saved out [to different data folders] with a removable flap but haven't tried to do that yet to see what else might occur. Fiddling with 3D mesh is something like fixing the plumbing.

  • I wouldn't even bother buying it, making a new outfit easier

We received one for G8M as a gift last Christmas. The flap in back has a couple morphs to open it.The front can also be opened. Here I have fit it to Genesis 9. It also came with several textures. Check you Content Library and see if you have it.

A worm with a duty, and that duty being to save Princess What's-Her-Name, would be Earthworm Jim.
