Yep. The Tactical Weapons are quite old (SKU 51465) and I own them already. And therefore I would have at least expected that the bundle price would be lowered some $1-3 more for me to reflect that.
I'm actually pretty happy with this figure. And the bundle didn't have any (to me) throw away items.
I rather like the character. But, frankly, I'm not really that committed on moving my library to G9. I've picked up several of the releases. But haven't actually used ny, and am getting less and less convinced that I'm likely to.
Yes, that bothers me too, and it makes the Genesis 9 females all look far too similar. Amelia 9 also basically looks like all her predecessors, apart from the toon and teen characters. But they all look alike too. Something urgently needs to happen here, or Amelia was the last female core character of the 9 generation that I bought.
I'm about to engage myself in a 360, self imposed buying embargo to try to kick off my creative juices and challenge myself to actually make renders instead of just spending thousands each year to collect. That said, the pro bundle at $18 and some change was too good to pass up. She looks like a realy person to me like life has kicked her around a bit. The outfits sealed it for me. Pushing the Embargo On date once again. Grrrrrr!
There's nothing in the bundle that I don't already have multiple versions of. I have aging morphs and don't need any extra older characters. There's nothing new here. I don't like the actual character but she seems to mix well with other characters and looks better with other skins. Her lips look so dry, and fake which is my biggest problem with G9 and hard to fix due to the new texture structure. But I have a ton of morphs already for G9 and, in general, I like PA characters much better than DAZ Originals so this bundle doesn't interest me. Except for Victoria 7 and 9, I always seem to like PA characters better than DAZ O's and I've always found that odd. Of all DAZ originals, V7 is still my favorite and wish they'd make a V7 for G9. Im not geeky enough to do it myself lol.
I think I'd be more interested in the figure if she looked closer to Sarah Morgan. But then, I think I can make Sarah's lookalike with what I already have.
She looks too close to the other G9 women for me to be interested. I feel like we've got a much wider variety with the male figures! I love Thimor and Gengis especially. I've just picked up Nicholas but am excited to try him out as well.
Meanwhile, Amelia, Olympia, Joan, Van Helsing, Olivia... all have a certain sameness to them. I'd love some more diversity in body type, like Bonnie and Kayo from G8 and G8.1.
Sidenote: Larger carts that pay for some or all of the cost of the bundle also trigger the offer for $30 of free Daz Originals. Might not be *that* much, but it does add value - three free environments helped push the needle from "maybe" to "yes".
Would it really hurt PAs so much to indicate if their hair is polygonal or not? It's a 100% never buy policy for me if a PA doesn't bother to describe their product correctly.
I don't know why but to me the face in the promo looks slightly different to the one in your render, as if yours is more stylized. Maybe it's just the expression making the eyes look bigger?
I know a bit late, but what Hair is used in this image? Is it the hair included in the Pro Bundle? Looks great.
