Import issues from Zbrush to Studio

Hi!
This is a pretty frustrating issue, and it just came out of the blue for me. I'm making clothing for Genesis 1 using the base OBJ as a guide in Zbrush. Now, all other times I've done this, I make the clothing export it as OBJ and import into Studio using default Cinema 4D settings because that has scaled properly for me in the past. Afterward, I use the trasfer utility and I'm golden. (I do the OBJ thing instead of GoZ to keep better track of what I've done, FYI). Now with this set and only this set---and I have no idea what happened as I did everything normally, when I import to studio, the model, shirt pants, whathaveyou, are shifted below the base plane and transfer utility gives the illusion that my Genesis figure is standing on the waist of the pants, or phased inside the shirt. Now, when I saw that, I thought it was odd, but went, duh, why not move it up and then do transfer? Nope, same result. I assume that it has something to do with Zbrush because I imported another mesh that worked fine before, but after I tinkered with the copy and sent to Studio, the same thing happened. I'm asking here instead of Zbrush forum because Studio is my end result and it could jyust be my settings in there.
Attached is a picture of the phenomenon post transfer utility in Studio.

Issue seems to be resolved when I re-export the same mesh from Zbrush to a new OBJ file and sticking THAT back into Studio.
That beiung said, I have no idea what caused it, but it would be good to avoid it in the future.
(It's a personal graphic novel project with cosplayers and school shenanigans and stuff if you're wondering the context)
