These products look great and I love the renders! Your post apocalyptic textures and modeling are the best.

Oh that was a great video!  Fishing stuff is something I have yet to see. Looks great!  Picked up your fantasy portal the first day it came out too.

I wish I had one like that in my tacklebox, would at least make the fishes happy!

Nice, its good to see a prop that no one has really posted before. Best I couild find were some plain prop fishing poles at ShareCG that weren't all that good. This will bee worth looking over when you get it finished. Thanks for the comment on my pic too.

These look good but I would prefer a fly rod as I have yet to find a decent one and a reel :)

    Thanks!

I haven't been fly fishing much myself but Fly fishing and angling with a float is what I have planned for Gone Fishing III, if I decide to do that. I still think making flies will be both fun and daunting ;-)

    Stick to easy flies.

Spiders, Wets, Dry Fly and some Lures/Streamers only a few of each should cover it :)

Yeah, but I want then furry, at least the dry ones, I did bind my own flies back in school when I was like 14 when I had fishing as "free hours" (something we had back then, two hours a week where you could choose from a varity of subjects). I gave them to my granny, I don't think she ever caught anything with them though.

Furry but still not eating all your Iray resources ;-) The rods and reels are pretty basic to do, just takes a lot of time to get all the details right.

Do it with some 'fiber' hair...for a fly it won't take much and bending won't be much of an issue, so it doesn't need a lot of divisions,  And it won't need any maps, so right there's a big memory saver.

I tye my own, have done for the past 50 years :)

I tried modeling a rod myself and gave up after days of trying, I'm no modeler :)

So, fly reel, fly rods, and a fly tie set then and some flies.  That could maybe work. and a fly box, and a can of worms, and floaters, and hook and sinks with works on, and a simple kids rod from a branch, and a three piece bamboo rod, ok, I think I got the picture clear now

Yes, I had a thoughs of using LAMH to develop the fiber hair as it does that pretty damn good

For little fuzzy things like flies, fiber is the way to go.

Sorry to jump in.  I loved seeing your fly boxes.  My favorite is that green backed shrimp.  That's nice looking.  I was never very good at tying my own flies.  I've also never tried fly fishing, just normal everyday fish off a pier type fishing, both ocean and lake or pond.  The only thing I ever caught in the ocean, though, was a sea snail I snagged.  Great for bait, but not much else. :)

edit:  forgot to mention, great set Totte!  I missed the first set, but I snagged this one.  I'll have to see about getting that first set soon. :)

So I'm slowly making some progress with this. I have an idea for the set now. Rod, Reel, flies and boxes, but also a magnifying glass with lamp, a small vice and a pliers and maby some glue and thread too, someone needs to make those flies ;-)

Sounds really cool.  I've watched people put together flies there is a real art to it.

    Thank you!
I have only tested fly fishing with a fly rod i a few occations so I used a mix of photo references and memories while making those. Flies are tricky as they have "fur/hairs" but I think I know a way. Modeling the vise for binding flies now, looked at picures of modern ones, much more fancy that the ones we used in school in the late 70s when we did some fly binding
