Content tab empty

My content tab has suddenly gone empty. I think this has happened to me before but I can't recall how it fix it. Would any one be able to help me out (again) with this (repeat) problem?

    Click the double-arrow symbol under "Enter Text to Search" -- you have the top panel collapsed.

    It's way too easy to hit those things by accident — I still do it now and then, even with all my D|S experience. I know what's happened and how to fix it, but a new user probably won't. Think a Feature Request in the bug tracker for a redesign would do any good?
