Just wish that someone could be stunningly creative like in these images and create a semi-real/cartoon medieval town or village with doors that open and cute little streets, alley ways and paths. Also lush, interiors with cheery sun lit windows of cottages, houses, mills, bakerys and shops. Where you could clearly see right into a window from outside into a warm candle lit scene that you created inside.

Just a whole new take on medieval castles, towns, pirate ships, docks and villages. 3D Universe's Skull Island was a cool start, but a lot more time and thought could go into this idea. Merlin Studios, 3D Universe and Faveral would be great at creating something like this.

Thanks for reading, Mike

Yes, very interesting images, the kind that inspire me to do short animations.  They remind me of some of the annual Academy Award nominees for short animations, which play as a group before the awards.  Here is the 2014 winner that is similar to your idea, except in a Steampunk flavor:

  • Those look astonishing... In times gone by, I might have said that could potentially be out of most artists' league, except perhaps the likes of Stonemason. Now that we have Iray, however, an aesthetic like that might just be very achievable.
