Selena Hair - textures won't apply

I can't get the mats for Selena Hair to apply - am getting this error:

2023-10-28 04:01:59.000 [INFO] :: Error loading asset: F:/My DAZ 3D Library/People/Genesis 9/Hair/Daz Originals/Selena Medium Hair/Materials/Iray/SMH Coffee.duf
2023-10-28 04:01:59.001 [INFO] ::     Operation failed

The files are where they should be and file names look OK, and the default mat applies fine when the hair is loaded.  Anyone else experiencing this?

They're hierarchical mat. presets, you should select your G9 character first before loading the presets.

OK, thanks.  That didn't work either though, but at least the error message disappeared.  Turned out that the hair wasn't parented to the figure, after I corrected that the mats applies no matter if I select the hair or the figure though.
